Microsoft has announced the Windows Sandbox to facilitate a virtual environment for users to test their apps without compromising the host OS. (It'll be available with Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise, Build 18305)
I've been using VirtualBox for sand-boxing, but this will allow it without the need for a 3rd party virtualization solution running on the host.
At this point, I don't know to look at it as an enhancement or a workaround.
