So exactly what is the answer to Ransomware ?

1)  Cyber-insurance company position - pay it - here is the money in bitcolin.

2)  Cyber-criminal - thank you - I think we will do this again.....   Lovely

3)  Now what would happen if paying Ransomware demands was made illegal?     Would that work?

4)  Is it enforceable?

@JKWiniger    Depends what type of tape system you have and how well they have been built, but I do agree, you do need a stringent audi regime i.e. set of procedures and processes to ensure that the tapes are taken to a secure offsite with full audit trail and authorisations etc. 

We have just got our first Amazon 5G point in New Zealand, which is a surprise, given I would have expected that the Telecommunications Providers would have been the first and to the fore front.
