MGM Resorts is the latest to suffer a data breach. Reportedly, more than 10.6 million guest records have been found in the wild. The data has been sitting exposed since 2017 on a Cloud server. Here is the reputation damage control statement:
“At MGM Resorts, we take our responsibility to protect guest data very seriously, and we have strengthened and enhanced the security of our network to prevent this from happening again.”
Note that they didn't say "ever" happening again...
