UK govt. consultation on the cybersecurity profession
A couple of weeks ago the UK government launched a consultation on developing the cybersecurity profession. I know that (ICS)2 pushed a news item about it but I'm going to labour the point and urge colleagues (particularly here in the UK) to take a bit of time to read and comment. Cybersec is now a broad church and while our body is known for the breadth of experience it reflects we do have to concede that at the moment its membership is self-selected and it is held to account only by itself. Its international standing is to its great credit, though, and the willingness of the UK govt. to realise that the internet and cybersecurity don't recognise national boundaries provides us with the opportunity to influence the profession for the better. Please take a look and comment as you see fit, particularly UK members.
