Twitter has deleted an estimated 10,000 automated accounts that were posting messages discouraging people from taking part in next week's US mid-term elections.
It would be interesting to see what they were saying....
"Don't vote. It won't matter." Does that mean the voting system is rigged?
"Don't vote. You lazy Americans have better things to do." Does that mean that we are so wishy-washy that we would change our behavior from an ad telling us not to go vote?
"Don't vote. Just don't do it." Maybe we are so commercialized that a catchy slogan will affect our behavior?
I find it interesting that whoever is running this "campaign" against the US voting system thinks it can affect a portion of the population by submitting these ads. Perhaps in this hyper-socialized world we now occupy (or does it occupy us?) the new trend is for a nation or it's people to be swayed by sub-neural ads on social media.
Now can we run one on passwords?
