Google, for whatever reasons it has, is participating.
Google employees are upset. One, very senior (and therefore very expensive) has now quit over the issue.
It seems that being evil can lose you employees. And, in this day and age when brains are at a premium, that could be expensive. Ultimately even fatal (to the company). After all, the company is really only some info and the employees who work with it ...
