@rsladeIf you were caught in that situation, would you prefer bed sores, having to be waited upon for the remaining years you have on this mortal coil?  Or would you prefer a chance to be something else or make good use of your remaining years.  I think most people would rather give it a good, and hope they were one of the lucky ones.

Yeah, for several years I was the one who turned people and rubbed bums to
prevent bedsores, cleaned up poop, etc, etc. I figured it was good training for
when I get to be slightly older than I am now.

But, I mean, if they knew the cyborg references would be coming, shouldn't they
have chosen a better name?
