Help needed developing National CyberWatch Center Curriculum Standards

Nominate yourself to become a member of one of the National CyberWatch Center Curriculum Standards Panels

Submission Deadline: Open until further notice

Funded through a grant from the National Security Agency (NSA), the results of these panels are a critical contribution to the Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) and towards fulfillment of Section 3(d) of the Presidential Executive Order on Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure.

The ongoing goal of these panels is to produce competency-based, mastery learning curriculum design for several foundational Information Security related courses. Panel members will assist in defining prerequisites and creating pre-assessments for each course. Learning objectives will be aligned with the NSA Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) Knowledge Units, National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NCWF) KSAs, and industry-based competency and capability maturity models for cybersecurity job roles and functions. Panelists will be credited as authors of a curriculum standard to be made freely available through NSA’s National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense program. Current Project Details (Sept.  - Nov. 2017) are HERE.

Applications for participation on the National Curriculum Standards Panels will be evaluated as they are received until a sufficient number of panel positions are filled. Please indicate your interest by submitting the qualifications survey below, as soon as possible. Qualified individuals may be asked to participate in the current Curriculum Standards Panel and/or one of the future panels, once they are convened.

If interested, please take this QUALIFICATIONS SURVEY.

The purpose of this survey is to gather information on your preferences, experiences and specialized expertise on topics relevant to instruction in fundamental, introductory cybersecurity courses. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential and used only to support panelist selection and administration of the standards process. The information you provide will be shared only with the National CyberWatch Center Leadership and Curriculum Committee to support decisions on invitations to participate as a member of none of the Curriculum Standards Panels.

If you have questions regarding the NCC National Curriculum Standards Panels, please send a message to: info@nationalcyberwatch.org.
