Facebook security breach

Some would say this topic is redundant: that Facebook is a massive security breach.  After all, there was the irony in the fact that Facebook was starting to assess how trustworthy its users were.  And then there was the claim that Facebook doesn't know what it knows about you.  And even when it tries to do something right, like counter fraud and hate speech, it doesn't work.  And, do you really want to trust Facebook with all your financial info?

But, no, this hasn't anything to do with all those.  Facebook has had an actual breach.  It affected more than 50 million users.  Maybe.  As always, when dealing with Facebook, very few details are forthcoming.  Account data could have been stolen.  Accounts could have been taken over.  But, so far, all reports are "could" and not much about what actually has happened ...
