Facebook is a prude ...

An art museum in Geneva has an upcoming exhibit with images, among others, of two statues — a half-naked Venus and a nude, kneeling man, both from the first century.  They were trying to promote the exhibit on Facebook.

Facebook blocked that, because, well, nudity ...

Almost every year I take my family up to NYC for the day during the Christmas holidays to take in all that is the madness and awesomeness of the downtown area.

This year we spent half the day at The Met walking around. My youngest daughter is a huge Japanese culture fan and they had a great display.

They also have what seems like ACRES of statuary, mostly male, with certain portions of their anatomy on display.  Mrs. Fly and I are not prudish in any sense but still, as parents, you kinda swallow a little bit and muscle your way through the displays.  Leave it to Miss Fly to have some sarcastic flippant (sarcasm is a genetic trait and I want to prove it) comment which totally messaged her parents: "I'm cool with this".

Whats NOT cool is mistreatment of art like this that tries to sexualize something that isn't.  FB misses the mark again.
