Lockheed Martin has said that a cloud-based network will replace the computer-based logistics system in all its F-35 fighter jets.
This is probably not as dramatic as it sounds. It's probably just about maintenance, ordering parts, and such.
But still, it lets your imagination run riot with the possibilities.
Does it mean that AWS can track the location of all fighter aircraft at all times?
Does it mean that, if the F-35 goes out of range of wifi it falls out of the sky?
Does it mean that you can only fly the F-35 in the clouds, and not in blue sky?
Can you hack the system and play wargames with real warcraft?

THE REALITY IS NO.

YES

YES. Go ask ALIS
Does it mean that, if the F-35 goes out of range of wifi it falls out of the sky?
YES, BUT THE JETS GET THEIR "WIFI" FROM SATELLITES.
Does it mean that you can only fly the F-35 in the clouds, and not in blue sky?
YES, except in Australia
Can you hack the system and play wargames with real warcraft?
YES. China already has the plans...

All I can think of is a pilot crashing a kajillion dollar plane, and screaming "LAAAAAG!!!"
