I have pretty mixed reaction after reading the article.
For instance, one of the examples "Sorry, can we like determine who's vegan here?" is supposedly used to imply that fairness is associated with the lifestyle choices.
It could be argued, that this leads to preferential treatment rather than fairness.
If I am a vegan who is committed to eat only from gold-plated dishes with antique silverware, it does not necessarily mean that I deserve special considerations.
There are a lot of dog friendly offices in a tech sector that are filled with people is working hard on automation and AI that is definitely contributing to the removal of choices for those who have previously had them.
This seem to indicate that technologists, even trained in the ethics are pretty selective in its application.
Not to mention that it is unfair to the cats.
