Hi All
Apparent the biggest nightmare for the education sector is already here, there is a lot of support, but obviously needs more attention and education.

Our local city school system was hit by a ransomware attack in late 2020. Because of the dependence on distance learning technologies, the entire school system was closed down for a week.

Fortunately, we have a high concentration of (ISC)² members in our area and volunteers were able to coordinate with the school system and third-party providers to respond and recover operations in an amazingly quick manner, and help secure operations for the future.
Very proud of our members. I really need to do a write-up on it at some point.
Thanks for sharing. This caught my eye because I'm doing a little academic research on a related topic, ransomware attacks on non-profits, particularly public libraries. If anyone has any resources, articles or subject matter experts to recommend, please do.
@noel Wow. What a great thing the (ISC)2 members did for the students. It takes a village!
I'd like to hear more about this and feature this story! I'll reach out to you.
