If you are going to help countries run their censorship programs, at least make sure your censorship doesn't have bugs in it.
Apple tends to cooperate with China. This apparently includes helping China pretend that Taiwan doesn't exist, by removing the word "Taiwan" and the emoji for the Taiwanese flag from any communications. But it caused iPhones to crash.
(Apparently iOS 11.4.1 has fixed the bug, so updated iPhones are back to bug free censorship ...)
