You are probably all familiar with the advance fee fraud, where the spammer sends out a message beseeching the recipient for help.  Generally the sender is rich (or the relative of a rich person) who is unable to move money out of a developing nation, frequently ruled by a dictatorship.

 

So, today I get spam that starts out, "I am married to Mr Richard  Parker who before his death was a wealthy Cocoa Merchant here in canada ..."

 

(Which reminds me that I must make time to visit my vast cocoa plantations up in Fort Nelson ...)
