Passed the ISSEP -Two Weeks Ago

If you are reading this, you are starting the journey to get your ISSEP, and I earned my CISSP-ISSAP back in 2018, a requirement for work as a DoD Civilian.

I used the ISC2 self-study course, which was expensive, but the E-Learning Book has content similar to the exam and a practice exam that provides the reason the answer was wrong or correct after you do the practice exam.

The learning course is based on the theme of a security/system engineer in a company, so you get a 360-degree concept of best security and engineering practices.

@4m4z1Y I believe is the same eTextbook that comes with the adaptive training.

Hi @4m4z1Y!

The eBook is the same content as the course, but it's designed as a companion to the self-paced training. Think of it the eBook as establishing the base of understanding, while the self-paced provides the ability to better comprehend the concepts. I hope that helps!

I'm in the process of going through the Online self paced training, and based on what I'm, reading here and online, it seems the course really only scratches the surface of what's actually on the exam.  I'm curious what other resources people have used when studying for this exam?  I did come across a link on Linked-In that gave some suggestions (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/preparing-cissp-issep-exam-domains-resources-strategies-yusuf-purna/)

@HighlandLight I did read the only CBK only for historical reference. The documents are no longer valid, and the material is not testable which made it an easy read. All I used was the exam objectives and the recommended NIST references. I was already familiar with those documents and had passed the CAP (now CGRC) previously which feel is very much in line with the ISSEP. Best wishes.
