I just passed the ISSAP and I submitted my Endorsement application, just curious when I filled out the application I did not see a field for including an endorsement. My guess is that since I am already CISSP then it was the process of attesting to ISC2 Code of Ethics. Just wanted to get some feedback on that part of process. Thank You
Congratulations and welcome to the club!
There are now two ways to earn the ISSAP, with one of those being the same way as the old CISSP-ISSAP, in that you pass the CISSP first, then pass the ISSAP.
Based on what you describe, it sounds like when you go the CISSP first route, it's still the same process as the old CISSP-ISSAP, where you would effectively self-endorse for the ISSAP.
Thanks for the response and the information.
I tried different certifications besides Concentrations like CGRC and CSSLP just for testing. I never took those yet but when I go to the endorsement portal it never asks for an endorser. @AlecTrevelyan give yourself a try. That's something they need to look for it.
They have changed that. On my ISSEP last November, I only went to the endorsement page to agree to the code of ethics. On my ISSMP in July, it made me have an endorser. They did change what was on the endorsement page as far as endorsement requirements instructions. My only issue now is that ISC2 realigned my ISSEP and ISSMP dates to coincide with my CISSP which makes zero sense to me but does not put me in any jeopardy.
