ISSAP in 180 days Plan.

Hello everyone,

I am planning to appear for ISSAP in next 180 days, with exam peace of mind and 180 days self paced material by ISC2.

Anyone with similar plans ? - happy to join hands.

@jayko I am thinking about attempting it this summer. I have earned the ISSEP and ISSMP and want try to earn the triad. Architecture is definitely my weakest of the 3 disciplines. I did read the last CBK only for a historical reference knowing is not testable which makes it easy reading. I have been looking at the exam objectives for gap analysis on my knowledge. I did look at a few Prabh Nair videos on it. I have a lot of respect for him but is not how preparing. We all learn differently. Do what is best for you and best wishes.

How did it go. The exam has become adaptive now so you would have been one of the first to hit that according to your timeline.

I just passed the CGRC (I have CISSP/CCSP as well)  and I was thinking about doing this one ISSAP as there is quite a bit of domain overlap.

1. Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) 21%
2. Security Architecture Modeling 22%
3. Infrastructure and System Security 32%
4. Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architecture 25%

Domain 1 CGRC in detail

Domain 2 Looks like CISSP

Domain 3 Looks like CCSP/CISSP

Domain 4 Looks like CISSP/CCSP/CGRC

From what I glean from others who have passed  its mostly scenario based so core knowledge has to be applied so real hardcore reading is not going to help. If you have the knowledge you will need a apply it.

Was there any specific book(s)  ie Think like a manager by Luke Ahmed which helped me learn

the non-technicality portion of the questions as I am a tech which you would recommend? I saw the ISSAP one but that's like 10 years old so I suspect that is out of date and has to be supplemented with the recommended reading list.

@jetmax I have not looked closely at the new exam objectives (August 1) but when took the ISSEP, I felt like my CGRC most closely aligned with it. I hold the ISSEP and ISSMP. Thinking like an architect is more difficult for me but would like to try the ISSAP.

Hello

Interesting. I want to explore architect roles so this could be the one i will try.

Need to bush up on CISSP/CCSP as i think alot of domain info there. As the OP certs aligned with mine I was

interested to see how he went
