Hi Clayton,

I have a question for you - what makes Security Congress APAC unique and sets it apart from other conferences?

@samanthaO

Hi Samantha, Security Congress APAC draws from the experience of established senior cyber security professionals from the region representing a wide range of industry sectors. We have regulators, technology service providers, end user organizations. There are speakers from different economies. Plus two post conference half day workshops. Building a Red Team and How one can understand and reduce cyber exposure through asset discovery.

Hello Clayton,

What are the tips to enjoy the Congress the most this year? And what are the key take-away from the congress?

@Michaella

The most important thing is to book early especially if you are flying in. HK is a very popular travel destination for both business and pleasure. Booking early enables one to make sure they get the best hotel rates. For overseas participants these links will provide some information on 'things to do in HK' - http://conradhotels3.hilton.com/en/hotels/china/conrad-hong-kong-HKGHCCI/local/hongkong-attractions....

Congress has three tracks running each afternoon, to ensure one gets the most of their time spent at Congress - please have a look at the congress agenda and plan your session attendance. The morning sessions have keynotes.

Lastly, net working. with over 400 senior cyber security professionals attending from the region. Its an excellent opportunity to meet up with friends, business associates and also make new contacts

Key takeaways: we all recognise that we are all working in an area where there is so much to learn, changes impact the security posture of our organizations. Changes in legislation impact cyber security policy. What better way to get a good update? Congress brings all these experts together under one roof to share their experience and knowledge

I have a question about the Security Congress APAC 2018, are there regional representatives at the site so that I could discuss about local security business?

cjones
ISC2 Team

@Taro:

Yes, most of our speakers and attendees have regional roles within their organization. Plus there is the local HK Chapter, The Professional Information Security Association (PISA - HK) and the HK OGCIO office in attendance.

HK CERT and representatives from the HK Productivity Council will also be attending.

Do you know if there will be speakers or topics about automation, machine learning or artificial intelligence for cyber security professionals?

@shashimi

Thank you for your question. AI/ Machine learning/ Automation all influence and impact how we run our security programs. Skills and technology. Congress does cover these areas from different perspectives: e.g.:

Security & Safety in the Automobile Industry

Use of AI to automate adaptive responses

Case study on automation of an operative seaport

A Panel session on AI and Cyber Security

Please visit our Congress website, it lists topics that are covered
