How about this as a fine for Facebook 5Billion, if it is approved?

Hi All

Yes, we seen British Airways fined this week, for GDPR transgressions, but will Facebook even sniff at this potential fine?  https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/jim-hanson-reported-5b-facebook-settlement-is-well-deserved-punishme...

Having experienced a reference backlash in the past I have to say, Fox News as a reference? <cough, cough> You take the cake! Hopefully, the FTC will make it official soon...

The concerning thing I noticed was that the URL contains /opinion/.

@denbesten  I actually like this piece:

But as others have stated, this is peanuts to Facebook - another zero would sharpen up their act somewhat.

With opinion not mentioned.  However it did mention this which was interesting, given our discussion about having a uniform Privacy legislation within USA.

“privacy regulation in the U.S. is broken. While large after-the-fact fines matter, what is much more important is strong, clear rules to protect consumers,” said O’Connor. “Congress must pass a comprehensive federal privacy law this year.”
