Hi,
I got the CISSP certification in september and now I received an email that something has been shipped to me from outside the EU (as I'm from EU and ISC2 is an American organisation).
Apparently I have to pay about 22 euro's on customs fee.
What is being sent to me? Is it worth paying them?
It's a bit surprising to me that ISC2 is sending me something. I might have missed some e-mail about that.
Best regards,
Jeroen
I've asked our Member Support team to reach out to you regarding your membership welcome kit.
@KristofPSince the welcome packets do not include what they used to, you might consider printing the soft copy and framing it in if want hanging. They no longer send out updated ones. So if I want one, I print mine. I do know that ECC charges $75 for a physical certificate. I would never want anything from them but have heard others complain about it. Congratulations on passing your exam.
Hi all!
To clarify, the Welcome Kit is sent to all members upon earning a certification for the first time except the CC. If you earn a CISSP, you'll get a kit. You will not get a kit for recertifying. But, if you earn the CCSP, you'll get another kit for that.
Emailing the support team is the correct path forward if you need any assistance with a replacement kit, a lost kit or anything else related.
Thank you!
@Kaity I think that what they were most worried about is the cost of shipping to non US locations. I could be wrong but was what I thought that I understood. Appreciate you detailing it. I almost thought of doing that but appears to be a CISSP post and not a CC one. Thank you for all that you do.
