Test Results

The fact you cant view your results after your test is crazy. I passed my CC this past Monday and I still don't know my results. Also you have to pay just to receive your certificate is such a scam.

"Your exam proctor will give you an unofficial exam result when you check out at the test center. ISC2 will email you the official result." [cite]

If the exam proctor did not, please reach out to ISC2 (see the link in the footer for this and every ISC2 page) and be sure to mention the testing center you used, so they can both get you your unofficial results and can reach out to the testing center to ensure they are following process.

You should have gotten your results on a printout at the exam center. Detailed results are not given to protect the integrity of the exams. You were given a year $50 membership, self-study training, and an exam voucher. So let’s say over $200 worth of value. Any decent certification will have maintenance fees. So that is how you get certified. CCs pay $50 AMF and have to earn 45 CPEs over 3 years. The rest of us pay $135 a year which funded your freebies. I would think that most people would be grateful and was glad to help fund this program. Sorry that you don’t appreciate what was done for and given to you.

@denbesten If logon to ISC2 and pick to Manage Exams under your Profile, once are redirected to the Pearson Vue site, you can select Exam History to see if a pass or fail or other status.  The test site definitely should have given a paper printout of the unofficial results as you indicated.  This is also helpful.  https://www.isc2.org/exams/after-your-exam?queryID=73a6a03f8d64bcceaa2e93e907ba2cf0  I know that people that are earning the CC are not as familiar with ISC2 as many of us are.  I am disappointed in the poster's opinion because I think that this is the best offer for entry level people that have seen.  I have been working with getting our folks trained and certified in cybersecurity since 2008.  I am glad to see my AMFs going to help others get into the field or at least become cybersecurity literate in their own field.

@jscott12 all the answers that you have received so far are correct, however are you attempting to understand how well you did in each area?

If so, for as long as I can remember, the organisation has never provided your score.  If you were unsuccessful, you should be provided information on the areas/domains that you were not proficient..  If you are successful, you should receive a pass letter, however, according to the organisation,:

Receiving Your Results
ISC2 conducts a thorough statistical and psychometric analysis of the score data to establish the pass/fail score before releasing scores. We need a minimum number of test takers before this analysis can be completed.

Depending on the volume of test takers for a given test, there may be times when scores are delayed for approximately six to eight weeks to complete this critical process.

Your exam proctor will give you an unofficial exam result when you check out at the test center. ISC2 will email you the official result.

In some instances, real-time results may not be available.

All test results are subject to the ISC2 psychometric and forensic evaluation. This evaluation could take place after you get your official results. (The timing is based on the number of tests taken.) If the psychometric and forensic evaluation affects your score, ISC2 will notify you.

@dcontestiI also felt that they were maybe talking about granular results, but since they never said that they passed or failed, I left it alone and tried to focus on that. I am glad that ISC2 protects the exams after seeing the imposters trying to pretend that they are CISSPs.  I did not like that they were ungrateful for all that ISC2 had given them funded by our AMFs.  Equating a $50 AMF to a scam is a very uneducated comment, same as Security+ which has less value in the current environment.  I have dealt with others that thought this.  As an analogy, if I give someone a car, I am not going to pay for insurance and licenses the rest of its existence.  Also not a scam, just an ungrateful recipient.
