Nothing wrong with being over-qualified....just enhances your ability to move to a better position either within your organisaion or another.
I held both the AP and the MP (when I got them they were concentrations of the CISSP). Both allowed me to move into different positions within my organisation and finally being able to be attached to the Global CISOs office.
As to which concentration to take first,, I would think about where I want to focus in your career. Once you have done the initial thinking, you may find that none of them is what you really need but you find you need the CCSP or maybe even a third party certification focused on a specific technology (Firewalls, etc.)

I cannot make a recommendation on the ISSEP but do know it has drastically changed since its original inception but I did find both the AP and MP useful in many ways. The MP assisted me in working with senior level managers and the AP helped dealing with the technical staff.
Great work on stepping up and taking the CISSP...
