Certifications Chart

It would be nice to see a chart showing all the ISC2 certifications and how they relate to each other, perhaps along the lines of https://pauljerimy.com/security-certification-roadmap/. There is the certifications overview page and Pathfinder, but other than CISSP concentrations, it doesn't show clearly how the different certifications overlap and differentiate, or the difficulty levels.

As a concrete example, I wanted to know whether CSSLP would be the next step for me after passing CISSP-ISSAP. Looking at the exam outline, it seems to be a small subset of CISSP, which is the general perception amongst those who've heard of it. However, people who've actually taken the exam describe it as very narrow and deep, with little CISSP overlap.

The old expression It depends really applies here. The path will differ depending on the experience of the individual. For instance I hold four (ISC)2 certifications and could probably pass the HCISPP, but I can't qualify because I do not have actual healthcare experience and never will. So you need to look at experience requirements and chart your own path.

There used be a graphic that displayed the certification pathway (along management / practitioner / specialist lines). It was produced in a booklet that (ISC)2 used to target HR departments (in the hope that they would look for appropriate certifications in their job specs). I remember it from about 10 years ago. It would appear that this chart hasn't been maintained.
Someone from (ISC)2 might be able to comment on your query @AndreaMoore

I didn't know the doc you were referring to @TrickyDicky, but a colleague of mine did! She said it only had SSCP, CISSP and the concentrations on it, so it doesn't really do enough to compare overlaps, etc. for the current certifications.

But, we do have this document that puts the information from the various cert web pages into one place, plus explains benefit to the organization by having staffers who hold each.

I hope this helps!
