Hi everyone,
I do see some similar threads but I do not see a post similar to what I see on my end on my endorsement application. I passed my CISSP exam on April 30th and then on May 15th, my endorser completed the application on his end. Since that day, the endorsement page status shows 'Your application is currently with "Endorser Name" for review.
I have confirmed with the endorser and he has approved the request from his end. Can anyone please guide me what I can do next as it has been more than 6 weeks now already and I do not see any status update on my end.
Thank you
Hello @aliinam
I'm reaching out to my colleague who manages the team who reviews applications. I'll send you a private message!
Congratulations on passing the CISSP!
I wish I had better news for you. When I went through the process and contacted ISC2 support after 6 weeks the response was simply "It takes as long as it takes" On the good side they will only charge you AMF once the CISSP has been awarded! It does look like you are getting help from Kaity.
Regards
I’m currently preparing for the CISSP exam and wanted to ask for insight into the endorsement process beyond just the technicalities.
Specifically, is there anywhere I can learn more about the real-world etiquette and politics of how people typically earn endorsements? I’m trying to avoid simply asking a stranger on LinkedIn one day and hoping for the best.
For example:
Do most people build relationships over time and then ask?
Are there certain types of professionals more likely to sponsor someone (e.g., former colleagues, mentors, group leaders)?
Is it ever appropriate to offer your resume or evidence of experience before asking for endorsement?
I want to go about this respectfully and thoughtfully, so if there are blogs, forum threads, or even just personal experiences you’re willing to share, I’d really appreciate it.

I will only endorse those with whom I have professionally worked for a few years and have clear knowledge of their work experience and how it applies to the domains of their certification. If you do not have a "me", I suggest you have ISC2 provide the endorsement.
Hi, @Kaity!
My problem is exactly the same...
I was approved on June 30, 2025, but the process remains unchanged since the endorser accepted my application.
Could you help me?
Hello @Wagnerl and @rpistori - thanks for tagging me!
I've sent a note to my colleague in the Endorsements team to check the status of both applications. As an fyi, it's 6-8 weeks from when the application is fully submitted until ISC2 completes the process. The status won't update online during that time, but if it is saying that we're waiting for your endorser, but they say they did it, that's definitely something for us to look into.
I'll let you all know when I hear back! Congratulations on passing your exams!!
I've messaged you both directly with updates!
