Hi,
I passed my CISSP around 3-4 weeks ago and quickly completed the endorsement process because I didn't want too many delays. After 3 weeks I have heard nothing from the ISC2 team and the endorsement is still on stage 1 which is being submitted but not picked up by an ISC2 member. I applied for ISC2 to endorse me with information about a CISSP college who I have worked with for a number of years.
I am wondering if it will be quicker to submit the endorsement using my colleague and not ISC2 because I don't want to get to the point where its going to take another 4 weeks and then suddenly I am reaching that 9 months limit before I need to take the exam again.
Or is there anyone who I can speak to about this or is there a general delay with endorsements at the moment ?
Congratulations on passing CISSP! Well done. And you're closer than you think. I passed CCSP on June 21, submitted my endorsement on June 24, and received the cert July 22.
The lag now is no different than when I took CISSP in 2019.
Hello @funkychicken! Congrats on passing the CISSP exam!!
The Endorsement process is typically the same amount of time if you provide an endorser, or if ISC2 reviews and endorses your experience. The only reason one could take longer would be if you select an endorser who does not act in a timely fashion 🙂
It's typically 4-6 weeks from when an application is sent in to when you receive your results (either full status or Associate). That's not how long the process takes, but that's our timeframe to process the # of applications we receive every day for each certification. Updates to the status of your application aren't typically possible to obtain from looking at the portal, unless you have been flagged for audit or we have a question about the information you provided.
I'll put a word in with my colleagues to see if they can advise when you should expect to receive your notice that the application review is complete.
Congrats again!
Thanks Kaity. I appreciate this.
It was difficult for me to know what documentation to submit because I have to work as a contractor doing work in different businesses. I don't have an employment letter because I am not employed my any business apart from purchase orders and invoices.
The CISSP colleague and the company I am currently contracting at have known me for over 10 years working in security so they should be able to verify the experience I have. I spoke to him yesterday and he said he will let me know if anyone contacts him so it should be all good.
Thanks again
Woooo thanks Kaity, you must have some solid influence in the company 🙂
Just to let everyone know. This is now sorted and the CISSP has been added to my profile.
Looks like your watched pot finally boiled!
