CAP Certification Exam

Is the current CAP Certification Exam in alignment with the NIST 800-37 V1 or V2?  If it is still on V1, when is the date that it will include the V2?

The new exam outline takes effect this August: CAP-Exam-Outline.ashx (isc2.org)

 

The new format incorporates the latest changes that emphasize supply chain risk and use of the term "privacy", integrating this word with "security". These are just a few examples of changes that are reflected in Rev 2 since Rev 2 was completed due to an overhaul of RMF, based on FISMA 2014 and OMB Circular A-130 which was revised, I think, around 2016. 

 

If you take the current version of the exam, you should be fine with Rev 1 and also the CAP textbook (2nd Edition).

The reference list is correct. Even if a new outline hasn't come out, we will make sure that references that are withdrawn or superceded are not used in any exam items.
