Question for those who have both CISSP and SSCP

I'm thinking of getting the SSCP, and have the CISSP. If you've got both, what did you think of the relative difficulty of the exams? Was there anything you did to study specifically for the SSCP beyond what you used for the CISSP?

Hey, Ed--

Sorry I didn't follow up with my experience regarding the SSCP; I took the exam in March, and passed it, but thought it was really tough, even though I'm very familiar with the CISSP material. Now, with that said, the relative difficulty might be only what I perceived, because I took the CISSP almost 20 years ago, and both exams must have changed significantly over that time. Also, the training material I used for studying the SSCP exam has just been revised: there is new courseware coming out this week, so subsequent classes will be somewhat different than previous courses (although the exam has not changed).

tl;dr-- if you have the CISSP and just want to train your people on SSCP, there's no need to take the exam, but you might want to study some SSCP material to bone up on those areas that might have more detail than the CISSP.

Well, you've basically already answered your own question. You have a reason to
get the SSCP. It doesn't mean that it's a career related reason, but it is a reason.
