Hi Fellow ISC member,
if I have purchased CISSP exam voucher with the following dates
Schedule Period: December 3, 2025 - May 31, 2026
and latest to schedule 1st attempt exam is on 30 april 2026
does it mean second latest retry schedule 31 may 2026
if there was no spot can be schedule up to 31 may 2026, can it still be extended due to no available spot in the exam center?
or the 180 days second attempt was started after 31 may 2026?
Thank you.
Ed
@EdM Thank you for reaching out via ISC2 Community about the Peace of Mind Protection opportunity.
With ISC2 Peace of Mind, candidates are given 180 days from the date of purchase to register and sit for both exams.
It's up to the candidate to responsibly register for the first exam, leaving enough time before the Exam Schedule End Date, to account for the 30 (60, or 90) mandatory test-free days between exams, and still be able to register and sit for the second exam before the Exam Schedule End Date.
In your example, if you have not attempted the CISSP exam in the past 12 months, scheduling your first exam for April 30, 2026, would not leave enough time for the mandatory 30 test-free days before your Peace of Mind expires.
A better suggestion for scheduling would be:
Your first exam date is especially critical if exam appointments in your location fill up fast. In that case, you may want to sit for your first exam in January or February.
Please know - if you schedule your first exam at the end of the Peace of Mind Exam Schedule Period (as in your example), your Peace of Mind may expire before you are able to sit for the second exam.
Click Peace of Mind to find the details. On the webpage, you'll see:
IMPORTANT: You must sit for both exams within 180 days of Peace of Mind Protection purchase.
Wishing you all the best with your exam!
