I am currently working on getting my CompTIA Security+ cert as a warm-up, and then I want to start hardcore working on getting my CISSP cert. What are your best recommendations for study resources and learning strategies to prepare me for the test? I will have accrued the necessary experience by around the end of 2018, so I want to use 2018 to prepare.
Hi DarthKevin. (Good name btw!) CISSPs aren't allowed to give direct tips about the exam but I can recommend ensuring you have a good understanding of how all the different aspects of information security fit together. Understanding high-level security Standards such as ISO27001 will give you that 'holistic' view. A common tip is to think of preparing for the exam as a 'marathon' rather than a sprint. Hope that helps and good luck when you take the exam. It's worth it!!
