Position Overview
Rhode Island College is seeking a dynamic individual with demonstrated leadership and management skills to serve as the Director of the Institute for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies. The Director will work with the Distinguished Chair of the Institute and the Dean of the Business School to help set the direction of the Institute, implement strategies for generating resources and revenues, support local businesses and governments with consultation and education, and oversee the budget, planning, and organization of the Institute’s events and initiatives. The Director will serve as the main contact for the Institute and act as a liaison for the RIC community, corporate outreach, educational institutions, and alumni relations.
Essential Duties
- Works with the Distinguished Chair of the Institute and the Dean of the Business School to help set the direction of the Institute.
- Implements strategies for generating resources and revenues.
- Supports local businesses and governments with consultation and education.
- Oversees the budget, planning, and organization of the Institute’s events and initiatives.
- Serves as the main contact for the Institute.
- Acts as a liaison for the RIC community, corporate outreach, educational institutions, and alumni relations.

Occasional Duties

Education and Experience: An MBA with a technical background or a Masters in a related technology field or equivalent experience required.
