Overview
UW Credit Union’s Information Security team is growing and hiring an Information Security Analyst II! If you enjoy innovating and developing solutions for information security advancement and searching for potential security threats, this is the job for you. In this role, you are empowered to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic data stored on the servers, PCs and internal network and cloud systems are maintained. Responsibilities - What You’ll Do

  • Be a leading contributor during all phases of data security development, including design, recommendation of new technologies, testing, integration, and deployment.
  • Facilitates the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions.
  • Enforce and maintain established policies, procedures, and standards across all managed systems.
  • Monitor and maintain effective anti-malware protection throughout the data network.
  • Research, recommend, and ensure the timely deployment of security related patches to network operating systems, applications and devices.
  • Maintain and support the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) system.
  • Review vulnerability scans and ensure that identified vulnerabilities are remediated as required.
  • Review and maintain risk register to track all unmitigated IT vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and support Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Firewalls, IPS, email encryption, email protection, patch management, SIEM, password management tools, DNS filtering, threat Intelligence, Netflow, multifactor authentication, Application Delivery Controllers (ADC).
  • Deploy, Maintain, and support VPN connections from telecommuters, ATMs, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Maintain an in depth and current technical knowledge of security industry trends, products and events.
  • Review logs and reports provided by all monitored IT assets and initiate investigations into anomalous events when identified and escalate response as needed.
  • Interact with technology staff and manager to define, design, evaluate, test and implement changes and enhancements to existing network technologies and network systems

Qualifications - What You’ll Need to Succeed
These skills and experiences are essential to your success:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in a medium to large network environment.
  • Proven experience with analysis, design, scheduling, construction, and delivery of network-based solutions.
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Exchange server, Cisco network devices, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls and Virus detection systems

These attributes and knowledge are preferred but not required:

  • GSEC, CISSP, or GCIH certification
  • Exposure to cloud implementations and understanding of cloud security
  • Directly related experience with data network security development in a commercial environment
  • Familiarity with financial operations and financial industry
