Editor timeout

This "bug" existed prior to the upgrade and continues to exist....

Do the following:

  1. Start a new message, either as a new posting or as a reply.
  2. Make some edits to it.
  3. Get distracted for an hour or so (an online meeting is good for this).
  4. Continue making changes.
  5. Click post.
  6. Notice that you get an "authorization error".  You are given the option to recover the edits made in step 2, but the step 4 edits are lost forever.

Amen, and amen.

I think the fix is to post, as soon as you hit a delay, even if it isn't finished and
might sound completely goofy, and then select "Edit Post" from the upper right
corner three dot menu.

The downside to *that* fix is that I get all your interim edits ...

The other downside is that I often use time delays to prevent myself from saying something I might later regret.

My work-around (when I remember it) is to select-all and copy before clicking post.
