My take is that they are a monopoly almost an oligopoly unfortunately.  So why should they worry.  They hold most of the market an folks have no option but to pay the price.  One of the prices they pay is I’ll conceived and constructed software.  

“of course if one thinks the worse of them, maybe they feed their code to the hackers for a kickback”. She says with tongue in cheek LOL

We will continue to see this until governments step in and force regulations

@dcontestiUnfortunately you are correct, given the vast discounts they give Governments, they are more or less ordained to use Microsoft due to the lower costs - but in fact they are not doing themselves a favour at all in the wider scheme of things.
