The Nigerian (ISC)2 chapter held its second General meeting on 19th January 2019, the events were a success and over 15 members showed up for our second charter meeting last week at Digital Jewel Office in Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria.
The ISC2 Nigeria Chapter's mission is to bring together a community of Information Security Professionals and interest groups to discuss current trends, share knowledge and drive innovation and inclusion within government, schools and private sectors. In Nigeria, specifically in Lagos is a global hub for financial, professional services, government and other key industries, and as such, Information Security Professionals have visibility of state of the art security initiatives, methods and practices that are being applied globally; this wealth of knowledge should be shared for the good of the public.

It was very excited to see how new members debated with divers views on some burning security topics presented at the events. The topics presented are Blockchain Technology presented by Chapter’s Director Mr Harrison Nnaji and Artificial intelligence (AI) by the Chapter’s Secretary Mr Olutimilehin Oyesanya.
The chapter will convene again in April 2019 we hope to see you all again and please your responses are welcome on the debated issue at the events and the question is
