COVID-19 Readiness for (ISC)2 Chapters

(ISC)² Chapters are independent entities and not directly managed by the association. (ISC)² advises all (ISC)² Chapter leaders to closely monitor guidance from local health officials. If necessary, Chapter Officers should cancel meetings to avoid any unnecessary exposure risk to chapter members and the people they may subsequently come in contact with. For details on the steps that (ISC)² is taking to ensure the health and safety of our members, candidates, employees and partners, visit https://www.isc2.org/Notice/covid-19

Share with us your plans for your upcoming meetings or alternative ways that you are holding your chapter meetings (i.e. virtual webinars).

We cancelled today's meeting, in Vancouver. Well, had it cancelled for us, when
the venue pulled out ...

I am hopeful the organization is looking at waiving or limiting CPE requirements for this year. Many of the events that CPEs would be earned at, have already been cancelled this year.

Oh, for goodness sake.

Read a book.

Take in a Webinar. (I hate them, but they give you CPEs.)

Join your local emergency management organization. Both the training you get
(BC/DR planning) and the volunteer work gets you CPEs.

All of the above is free or cheap, and it only took me a minute to think of it all.
(It's taken me longer to type this.)

Great personable response. . . .   I wasn't only speaking for myself. There are many of us who have jobs and family life that takes much of our daily time. The organization that we all support, should support us, as well.

I wish you and your family well, and I hope this issue is not affecting you as it is many of us.
