CTFs for CPEs

A lot of people participate in "capture the flag" activities, which are a great way to show your security skills as a pentester, red team member, blue team member, etc.

I assume that participating in such exercises, especially the live ones (vs on-line ones) would count for CPEs, but where does it fall under?  Education activities?  Just not sure and want to be able to help those who want to claim CPEs for them.

Thanks!

I think "education" would be fine as you'll learn a lot by participating in one of these activities. Or possibly a "unique work experience" might also apply in some circumstances - the one and only one of these I attended was through work although I didn't claim any CPEs for it.
