Director, Cyber Security - Waltham, MA (preferred), Remote USA (considered)

Hello everyone!

My current organization is hiring for Director of Cyber Security and I couldn't think of a better group of people to share it with 😊

I have some details below, but you can read the full description here and apply if interested.

Job Details

Reporting directly to the Chief Security and Privacy officer, the director of cyber security will work with other members of the security and privacy team to orchestrate security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs and support business functions in demonstrating the efficacy of Lionbridge security to our customers. This person will have expertise and experience in implementing and running a formal ISMS as defined by ISO 27001 and working toward other relevant certifications such as SOC2. This is a player/coach role in which it is expected that the successful candidate will be expected to both define a strategy and set of objectives and execute on it in a hands-on manner.

What you will do:

  • Develop, implement, and operationalize a formal ISMS at Lionbridge as specified by ISO 27001
  • Develop and maintain policy and control frameworks in support of the ISMS
  • Advise and partner with Lionbridge business units
  • Partner with Development and Infrastructure teams to design and measure control frameworks
  • Work alongside others to represent the security program to our customers and develop forward thinking processes and documents to enhance our customer security management program.
  • Working alongside the global privacy manager, assist in the selection and implementation of technical and organizational controls related to our privacy information management system (PIMS)

To be successful you must have:

  • Direct experience in implementing or operating ISO 27001 and SSAE18 SOC2
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in information security
  • Experience in GRC functions as well as technical functions
  • The ability to influence across all levels of the organization leveraging informal and formal authority

I just wanna talk to you about a word we don't hear much anymore.
Sacrifice. It's not what I would call a modern word. People
hear the word sacrifice, and they become afraid that something
will be taken away from them or that they will have to give up
something they couldn't live without. Sacrifice, to them, means
loss, in a world telling us we could have it all. But I believe
true sacrifice is a victory. That's because it requires free
will to give up something for someone you love, or something or
someone you love more than yourself. I won't lie to you: it's a
gamble. Sacrifice won't take away pain and loss, but it wins the
battle against bitterness, the bitterness that dims the light on
all of the true value in our lives.
