OK, The-Powers-That-BSides, while supportive of the idea, are not supportive of using the BSides name for it.  (As is their absolute and perfect right.)

So, as well as changing the name of this topic/thread, I think the need for a name (or, at least, a working code name, so we know what we are talking about) has become significantly more acute.

Preliminary report on the results of a load test of Google Meet is over on the thread

Alternative to Zoom - Meet

in my post

Meet Test Meeting Report.

Short answer: worth every penny we paid to use it, but not suitable for the proposed sharing meeting.

Rob @rslade rslade may have further details to report.

Take a look at how Black Hills has incorporated Discord into their webinars as a side track to further discussions. Not that I completely accept using Discord for voice chat on the privacy front. Its fine as long as put strict bumpers around my own privacy. Still it works well enough and it is free.

If you have ever been on a conference call, you will undoubtedly laugh at this.

I just finished using Discord for the first time as part of Balticon. They used Zoom for the talks and panels and Discord for general chat and post-panel chat. I was pretty impressed. .I had not heard of Discord before last Thursday.

If you decide to check on Discord, look fo the server Malware Tech, which has a channel #infosec.
