Cybersecurity Skills Journal to publish Special Issue on NICE Workforce Framework

Have you used the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NICE Framework) in your education, training, or career development efforts?  Consider submitting a manuscript to the Cybersecurity Skills Journal!

The NICE Framework was originally published as NIST Special Publication 800-181 in August 2017. NICE intends to review and update the NICE Framework during 2020. The Cybersecurity Skills Journal: Practice and Research (CSJ) is currently seeking manuscript ideas and drafts that examine the usefulness, benefits, and challenges associated with the adoption, adaptation, or extension of the NICE Framework in cybersecurity practice, to improve learning, and advance the state of cybersecurity capability maturity.

Abstracts may address any aspect of the NICE Framework, though emphasis should be placed on empirical support for effective awareness, application, and impact of the NICE Framework in enhancing the cybersecurity capability maturity of the entrant, extant, or future workforce.

Learn more about CSJ and the NICE Special Issue at the Virtual Brown Bag Lunch Workshop on January 15, 2020 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. ET.  Registration and more info at:

https://nationalcyberwatchcenter.wildapricot.org/event-3667652

Members of the Editorial Board will discuss the CSJ's unique constructive process, in which large peer reviewer panels assist authors in developing their research towards a scholarly rigorous, practically relevant publication in the Cybersecurity Skills Journal. During this hands-on workshop, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about how to take your idea, outline, presentation, or early draft to a manuscript that will be published in the Special Issue.

CSJ is a peer-reviewed journal published by the National CyberWatch Center that seeks to advance knowledge and practice in all areas of the cybersecurity profession by publishing high-quality, evidence-based research of effective practices as well as theoretical articles and select case studies. All submissions must have relevance for cybersecurity professional capability development. This special issue of CSJ will be released at the NICE 2020 Conference on November 16, 2020 in Atlanta.

You don't need a completed manuscript to submit - an abstract, an idea is enough to get you started!  Earn CPEs and add to your resume by publishing a paper in 2020!
