You’ll need some business background and analytics knowledge in addition to soft skills (presentation, negotiation, collaboration). You’ll need familiarity with spreadsheets, presentation and analytics applications, and databases. You may also want basic project management skills. For your writing skills, you could utilize AI. You should already be familiar with customer relationship management apps like salesforce.
Now, you’ll want to choose the business sector you’d like to work in: financial services, education, government, healthcare, technology, legal, etc.
You’ll need to know the market you’ll be entering. Know current trends, market gaps, and who the main businesses are. And be looking into the future. Form strategic thinking.
And be thinking of the value you will bring with you. From there, you’ll want to study their products.
