CSSLP

So, I failed my CSSLP exam and I used the official book, guides, pluralsight, LinkedIn courses, Kelly Habdersens course, etc. The point is questions that were asking in the exam were nothing that came up in any of these materials. And to not be able to review the answers before submission was so annoying. Why doesn't ISC2 release latest syllabus book ? Any tips on how to prep from folks who passed the exam please ? The official trainings seems eye watering pricey 😞

When I was prepping for the CSSLP back in 2019, I used the suggested reference list. Where I wasn't able to obtain one of the references either for free or cheaply, I would try and find a suitable replacement that was free or cheap:

The best advice is to always use the exam outline to guide your studies. Align references to each section. Build knowledge and then apply it.

I am also studying CSSLP now and I am using the AIO and official study guide. Also I am trying to linking all knowledge by the exam outline and trying to tidy up my own notes. I think it could be a way yo prepare the exam.

Have you tried https://www.reddit.com/r/CSSLP/ group as well?

They have some hints as well.

1. Recommended on site

Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CSSLP CBK ((ISC)2 Press) 2nd Edition

         Is actual?

      2. CSSLP exam is only on-site in VUE exam center, or it can be taken remotely?

Hello @Da!

All (ISC)² exams are only available for on-site testing at a Pearson VUE test center. No online testing is allowed.

We have offered limited online testing a few times and found that the security standards in place for online proctored exams did not meet our own standards. You can read more here: https://blog.isc2.org/isc2_blog/2022/06/isc%C2%B2-concludes-online-proctored-exams-do-not-meet-exam-...

I'll let the others in the group speak to their personal recommendations for how to prepare for the exam 🙂

I finally passed the exam on Wed. For my observation, the mindset of CISSP also important in CSSLP. And this one more focus on the PM dimension. Which means you need to considered yourself as the project/product manager and how you can control the risk and security during the SDLC.

Now I am waiting the endorsement and will moving to the CISSP concentrations for next.
