Podcast CPE Logging for the Lazy Like Me

Dear All,

I have been logging podcasts evidencing with the screenshot of the finished listening. This is a horrendously mind numbing exercise: individually, high switching cost with all the Salesforce logins and batching makes it feel like an ever growing mountain to be climbed. That is, for me.

Having done this for years and contemplating 18 months of a mountain, I gave in to the temptation to automate it with a pair of Codex skills.

  • One collates the screenshots into weekly batches, identifies the actual podcast episode to get the context from the web and identifies the domains, the time period and calculates the total relevant CPE credits, for your review.
Limitation: OCR is optimised to the Apple Podcast screenshots.
  • The second connects with Playwright to a logged-in Chrome instance and creates the CPE credits.

The first one is scary, the second should raise all the red flags... 🙂 But if there is any interest, happy to share.

Kind regards,

Thomas

You have a lot more dedication than I do.  I am fortunate that most of my CPEs self-report (such as SANS), or they come from trade show attendance (several CPEs at once), or I'll watch ISC2 events after sign-on here or their portal.

Your patience and persistence will be the stuff of legend. 🎉

Well... that is a very generous way to put it. Really it's just having to stay up to speed on free threat intelligence and it also counts as CPE. Great efficiency -- except those pesky forms.

Maybe I should have asked for the API that SANS uses!
