Endorsement process, CPEs and audit language

Hello everyone,

I am thinking about starting to study to obtain the CISSP certification and I have three questions.

The first is about the endorsement process once you have passed the exam and demonstrated 5 years of experience in at least two domains. As I have seen, the endorsement process must be granted by another person who has obtained an ISC2 certification, but what happens if I do not know anyone with said certification?

Another question is if I already have my CISSP certification obtained, to maintain it I must obtain CPE credits, at least 120 in three years, is there some type of podcast, webinar, etc. in Spanish? My level of English is not very high, I only defend myself by reading.

Lastly, and for the same reason as my level of English, the issue of possible audits, are they always in English? Or can they also be done in Spanish?

Thank you very much and greetings

So to answer the first question.  If you do not know any that holds an (ISC)2 certification, you may ask the organisation to endorse you  From their website:

For all other certifications, you will be required to provide an endorser – another ISC2-certified professional in good standing – who can attest to your experience. If you do not know another ISC2-certified professional, you can opt for ISC2 to endorse you.  Found here:https://www.isc2.org/endorsement

Not sure what (ISC)2 offers in non-english but once certified, you may use Vendor presentations, local conferences, chapter meeting etc to collect CPEs.  The key here is maintain an accurate record of the trainings that you take (you may need these during an audit).  Suggest that you contact Customer Service to see if they have a list of trainings offered by the organisation in Spanish.

For CPE's you can claim them for Blogs that you write or books that you may write.  Courses (from multiple sources) that are taken are also.  Here is the link that may help you:  https://www.isc2.org/members/cpe-opportunities

As to the audits, any that I have had have required me to send proof of activity that I participated in.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the prompt response.

One last question related to the audits is whether contact with the auditor is made through a telephone call or video conference, since, as I mentioned in the previous post, my level of English to maintain a conversation is not enough and that is why that I could not prove my obtaining the CPEs.

Thank you

Mine was done via emails.  Not sure about others.

Perfect, if so, I will start studying now for the CISSP exam.

Thank you so much

On audits, you can avoid them by uploading evidence of your CPE experience.

ALL my audits were of them asking for this evidence, as in the past you had no means of uploading this from the beginning.  Once I uploaded the evidence, the audit was past.

ALL my audits occurred shortly after I renewed, usually a couple of submissions being audited.  As I pretty much upload all my CPE evidence I haven't been audited in quite some time.

Tu nivel de inglés es mucho más alto que mi nivel de español, amigo.  Buen trabajo!
