I am sorry for the troubles here. I've sent this back to the vendor support team to look into, but I had a few (hopefully) quick questions. I also wanted to let you know that if you prefer, we can communicate via Private Message here on the Community or via email. I wanted to put that out there just in case you would like to do that instead of post in this thread, I am happy to accommodate whatever communication preferences you have.
If you have any questions on this, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Reply via email seems to be getting worse as the day goes on. I've probably tried a dozen responses and received four bounces so far, all of which I've forwarded to the email@example.com account.
Thank you very much for testing this. It sounds like we are half-way to a fix and I am glad to hear we are making headway. I will forward along your answers to the vendor support team so they can investigate further.
If you want to copy me on your replies to the community, my direct email here is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you again, I hope you have a great weekend!
I can't seem to unsubscribe only from this thread about email replies, but rather only from the group as a whole, for email notifications. Until this is sorted out, afraid that's what I have to do. I really don't need multiple email messages each day about how a reply did or didn't work.
I know there are a lot of people working really hard to make the new community stuff work, and to those folks, I say "Thank you." Growing pains, new systems, we get it.
But not being able to correctly handle email replies to a web forum, and the disaster that is the new CPE management page, are really signs that someone dropped the ball in the testing and acceptance phase before the community was rolled out.
If you individually subscribed to the topic/thread, you can delete the subscription in your profile. However, if you subscribed at the board/group level, I know of no way to unsubscribe to just one of its topics. That said, you may be able to do so using a rule in your email reading software.
The CPE site and the community forum are two disjoint systems made by two separate companies that (ISC)² deployed approximately 6 months apart. It really is not fair to blame the shortcomings of one on the other. On the other hand, there does seem to be a causal relationship between the rise of the community and the fall of the Yahoo! CISSPforum, so feel free to throw some shade there.
