Passed the CCSP Exam at my first attempt

Hello,

I wanted to share my experience for CCSP exam.

I already hold CISSP certification and have been working for a company as a security architect for a while. I also have quite good understanding about the network and virtualization. I used to be a network architect in a large multi-national enterprise. I have over 20 years of IT experiences from systems, networks, and cybersecurity.

I used these resources

https://www.isc2.org/Training/Self-Study-Resources together with LinkedIn video course by Mike Chappel.

During my self-study, I used Official Practice Test (https://www.wiley.com/en-us/(ISC)2+CCSP+Certified+Cloud+Security+Professional+Official+Practice+Test... to guage my readiness to sit for a test. I normally got almost over 85% correct answers with these practice questions.

So, I scheduled my exam and here are my experiences

1. Please plan how much time you would like to spend on each question. With the practice exam, I could finish all questions within less than 2 hours. However, at the real exam, I was under a great time stress. When I was in around number 50 questions, I fetl that I may not be able to finish all questions as I spent too much minutes on previous questions. it was very stressful. When I finished all questions, I had only 2 minutes remaining. But eventually, I was able to finish all questions with 2 minutes still remaining.

2. The ISC2 official practice questions could give an incorrect impression as to the difficulty level of the real exam questions. Real exam questions are way more difficulty in general. Not all questions are that difficulty but, please be informed that real exam questions are developed to test your ability of critical thinking based on your reasoning over the security knowledges applied to the real world examples. So, it is necessary to gain knowledge of information security, then, should be able to apply these knowledges with critical thinking to the real worlds situations.

I hope this helps
