Volunteer through (ISC)² Local Leadership

People just like YOU give of themselves freely to serve a greater purpose across the globe through Volunteering. No matter where your heart leads you to serve, volunteers do so with passion and with the intent of creating impact.

Did you know that you can volunteer locally and create impact in your community with (ISC)² through the Chapter Program? The Chapter Program is a volunteer opportunity for (ISC)² members to build a local network of peers together to share knowledge, exchange resources, collaborate on projects, and create new ways to earn CPEs!

Globally, volunteers can engage with the (ISC)² Chapter Program through two avenues – Membership and Leadership. Volunteering with a chapter means more than serving with your membership organization, (ISC)². Volunteering with (ISC)² Chapters creates impact by bringing your local community together to teach children, seniors, and everyone in between how to be safe and secure online. It means networking with other information security professionals by educating them about the tools, resources, certifications, and education available to them to enhance their careers and encouraging them to get involved, too. It means you, connecting with your peers, family, and friends to inspire a safe and secure cyber world.

As an officer of an (ISC)² Chapter, you will have the opportunity to serve in a leadership role within the chapter program. You will gain not only a sense of fellowship with your peers, but be able to lead others in Connecting, Educating, Inspiring, and Securing your local community.

There are many great benefits to volunteering as a chapter leader including (but not limited to):

  • Engaging in volunteer leadership roles
  • Earning CPEs by participating in professional activities
  • Participating in co-sponsored events with other industry associations
  • Assisting (ISC)² initiatives by speaking at industry events or writing articles for publication
  • Participating in local community outreach projects (public service/volunteering) to educate people about information security
  • Receiving special discounts on (ISC)² products and programs

You can find and get engaged with a Chapter near you by visiting the (ISC)² Chapter Directory.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

Chapter Leaders: Can you please share your experience of serving as a chapter leader and volunteering with/for your local (ISC)² Chapter? What interested you about serving in a leadership position with your chapter?

If you’re not a leader of a local chapter, what would drive you to get engaged and volunteer in a leadership position locally through the (ISC)² Chapter Program?
