How to get a member number

When trying to set up an account through Pearson VUE, you're asked to give a member number.  I'm a non-Member and i don't know how to get that number or how to become a member before i set up my PearsonVue account.  Do i need this number now, or do i just set it up without a member number and become a member later, after passing the exam?

When you sign up to take an exam through Pearson VUE you should be given a candidate number. This candiate (also called "non-member ID") number will eventually be your member ID number when you pass the exam and become an actual member.

In order to register for Proofpoint to which we are a partner for, it requires an ISC2 Member ID to apply for a Power Serives event.  I to am a InfraGard member ckonenonly@gmail.com

Navigate to the ISC2 home page on the top right of the toolbar, and click Sign In. On the sign-in screen, click the text under username and password for I don't have an account. On the next screen, fill in the form and create your account. Once complete, you will be assigned a number.
