Hi All
An interesting question to all.
Given the growth of online ISC2 courses and third party providers, many people study ISC2 certifications either in a boot-camp, or via online means.
Given the growth in interest in cybersecurity, is there a need for a local Auckland Chapter at all, given the number of different security groups, vendors, providers in this space within New Zealand?
There is plenty of activity via the ISC2 Auckland Chapter LinkedIn, but not much activity or drive to keep such a chapter open within New Zealand.
Auckland chapter is in decline, and with New Zealand now in a technical recession, along with the pandemic has caused many face to face chapter meetings to move to online sessions.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

How about we partner up / join forces with one of the other Auckland chapters, for example ISACA Auckland?
@Evanr Thanks for the suggestion.
The board will be going out to election in February 2024 - quite a few officer positions will be coming up for replacement, so we need to get some new bodies on board with new ideas. One member is moving overseas, others are opting to retire completely and move on.
ISACA are attempting to get themselves re-established themselves this year, they have done well with the Women in Security series.
