Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity pathway and wanted to connect with others here, but also share a bit more context than a typical intro.

My background is in telecoms and network infrastructure (FTTP/FTTC, Tier 2 support), so I’m approaching CC not just as an entry point, but as a transition into security-focused roles around networks and systems.

One area I’m particularly interested in is how foundational concepts from CC translate into real-world environments especially where infrastructure, cloud, and evolving threats intersect.

For those further along:

What concepts from CC have you found most relevant in real-world roles?

And what would you prioritise early if you were transitioning from a network background?

Also open to connecting with others taking a similar path.
